How Does It Work?

I’ll use the details you’ve provided on the enquiry form to give you a starting price and delivery cost. This will be the base price for a cake finished in icing with some light decorative work, and we can develop and elaborate from there.

This is often one of my couples’ favourite parts of the process! I’ll send out a sample box of my six most popular flavours for you both to try in the comfort of your own home. This is an opportunity for you to pick the elements you like and we can edit and adjust the flavour combinations until you’re happy that your cake will taste just right. Cake sample boxes are sent out for next day delivery and cost £40

Once you’ve decided your flavour choices and you are keen to move ahead you can secure your date with a non refundable deposit of £100

We’ll then arrange a video call where we can discuss the cake design. In this step I find that getting to know you is the key to unlocking ideas and creativity. Understanding your personality, your likes and dislikes helps me to start building a picture of your vision for the day. In addition I’ll use your event details, such as flowers, colour scheme, venue decor, outfits, invitations etc as inspiration to start pulling together ideas. I would ask that you try and avoid using Pinterest images of other cakes to serve as inspiration. We’re not looking to try and make something that’s been done before here, you deserve a cake that’s genuinely unique! I’d much rather take your favourite perfume, the story of your first date, the silhouette of your wedding dress and the curves of your venue’s architecture as the spark that starts your cake! After our call I will draw up two proposals for you. The first proposal will be drawn according to the brief and the second will push the boundaries a little.

Throughout the process I will keep in contact to finalise any small details with you. As we draw closer to your event date I will also start to liaise with your planner/venue to arrange final delivery details. The final balance is due 6 weeks before the big day.

Delivery & set up

Relax and enjoy your show stopping cake, as it wows guests when they first see it, and then as it’s reduced to delicious crumbs. An empty platter is always the ultimate sign of success as far as I’m concerned, so don’t hold back!
